Now, first term of the AP, a₁ = 0.6 (by observation)

Further we can see that a₂ = 1.7 and a₃ = 2.8

Common difference is the difference between any two consecutive terms, hence:

d = a₂ – a₁ = 1.7 – 0.6 = 1.1

or d = a₃ – a₂ = 2.8 – 1.7 = 1.1

Therefore, in the given AP, the first term is 0.6 and common difference is 1.1.
